Dr. Babatunde Obrimah

Dr. Babatunde Oghenobruche Obrimah holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (D.B.A.), an M.B.A., and B.Sc./M.Sc. degrees in Agronomy. He is also certified in Project Management (PMP) and Life Coaching, with additional training in Artificial Intelligence, Creative Thinking, International Trade, Leadership, Marketing, Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), and Digital Transformation at MIT. He is a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Management (FNIM) and an Honorary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (HCIB).

Dr. Obrimah began his professional career at First Bank Nigeria Plc, where he held various roles, including Group Head for Consumer Banking, Agriculture/SMEs, Infrastructures, Food/Beverages, and Investment Banking, as well as Regional Director for Commercial Banking in the South-south and South-east regions. He also contributed to agricultural lending initiatives at the Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Management System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL Plc). Later, he served as Managing Director/CEO of ELBI Integrated Resources Limited, a consulting firm providing advisory and project management services to banks and financial institutions, with a focus on agricultural financing. Until recently, he was the Chief Operating Officer of the Fintech Association of Nigeria. Currently, he is the Lead Consultant at ELBI Integrated Resources Limited, advising financial institutions, fintechs, and agricultural projects.

A passionate advocate for fintech innovation, Dr. Obrimah believes technology platforms are critical enablers of economic growth. He promotes technological advancements in verticals such as AgriTech, PropTech, TransTech, InsurTech, EdTech, and HealthTech, emphasizing good governance and ethical practices in the fintech ecosystem. He serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the boards of ARM MFB, Voyse Technologies (Chippercash), and IHMS Limited (an HMO). Additionally, he is on the advisory board of Vank Limited, a PropTech company leveraging tokenization for commercial property funding solutions.
